Responsibilities
The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of eight commission members, two from each district, who are appointed to serve two consecutive three year terms. The purpose of the Planning and Zoning Commission is to review and advise the City Council on all public and private activities involving the physical, social, and economic development of the village and to prepare and recommend a master plan for the physical development of the community. The commission also reviews and advises the City Council on matters concerning long range planning for territory within the village’s boundaries. The primary functions and duties of the commission include:

• Review and make recommendations to the City Council on all amendments to the comprehensive plan
• Consider changes in the zoning ordinance and maker recommendations thereon to the City Council
• Study the present condition and future growth of Greenwood Village
