Commercial Construction

Places where people congregate to work, eat, or shop offer a different set of building design and construction challenges than single family residential construction. The amount of exiting that must be provided so that people can safely evacuate a building in case of an emergency, the amount of fire prevention and suppression requirements that must be met, the amount of restroom and handicap facilities must be addressed in assuring safe and convenient commercial construction within the Village.
The information that is provided below is intended to assist design and construction professionals in understanding the established policies, procedures, and processes that are used by the Village to assure the construction of high quality work, entertainment, and shopping environments.
