1.28.010 Violation--Penalty--Continuing violation.

A. It is unlawful for any person to violate, disobey, omit, neglect, refuse, or fail to comply with or resist the enforcement of any provision of this code or any secondary code adopted by this code.
B. Where no specific penalty is provided therefor, the violation of any provision of this code or of any secondary code adopted by this code shall be punished by a fine of not more than nine hundred ninety-nine dollars, or by imprisonment for a period of time not to exceed one hundred eighty days, or both such fine and imprisonment.
C. Notwithstanding any other provision of this code to the contrary, any person who has not become eighteen years of age as of the date of the violation shall not be subject to imprisonment unless such imprisonment is for failure to comply with the lawful order of the court or for contempt of court.
D. The imposition of one penalty shall not excuse any violation nor permit it to continue.
E. Unless otherwise specifically provided in this code, a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day or portion thereof during or on which any violation of any provision of this code or any secondary code adopted in this code occurs or continues.
