A. During a state of emergency and recovery period, the city council may adopt a resolution instituting a curfew.

B. The curfew shall apply throughout the city, unless otherwise specified in the resolution.

C. The resolution shall include the dates and hours that the curfew shall be effective.

D. It shall be unlawful for any person to violate the curfew imposed by the city council.

E. Individuals engaged in the provision of designated essential services, such as fire protection, law enforcement, utility repair and emergency medical services and hospital services, shall be exempt from any curfew imposed pursuant to this section. The resolution may, in the discretion of the city council, exempt other individuals. (Ord. 2002-5 § 1 (Part))
