A. During a state of emergency, the city council may temporarily suspend the enforcement of this code, or any portion thereof, if the emergency is such that immediate action outside the code is required, and the suspension is not contrary to any controlling federal or state law.

B. During a state of emergency and recovery period, the city council may temporarily suspend or reduce any permit fees, application fees or other fees imposed by this code, as necessary to promote the reconstruction or repair of the area impacted by the emergency. (Ord. 2002-5 § 1 (Part))
