A. Any person appointed to the office of municipal judge shall at the time of appointment and throughout the tenure of office be licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado.

B. Before entering upon the duties of his or her office, a municipal judge shall make an oath or affirmation that he or she will support the Constitution of the United States and the Colorado Constitution and the laws and ordinances of the city, and will faithfully perform the duties of the office.
