Chapter 3.16 BUSINESS OCCUPATIONAL PRIVILEGE TAX
3.16.094 Jeopardy assessment.
A. If the finance director finds that collection of the tax
will be jeopardized for any reason, the finance director may declare the taxable
period immediately terminated, determine the tax, and issue a notice of
determination, assessment and demand for payment. Notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 3.16.083, the tax shall then be due and payable forthwith, and the
finance director may proceed to collect the tax as provided in Section
3.16.095.
B. If the taxpayer subject to a jeopardy assessment provides
security for payment of the tax satisfactory to the finance director, the
finance director may forego the jeopardy assessment collection proceedings.
