Chapter 12.06 UTILITY MARKINGS ON PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF-WAY
12.06.010 Definitions.
For the purposes of this chapter, the words and phrases shall
have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section.
A. “Public right-of-way” and “Public
utility” shall have the meanings as specified in Section 12.04.010 of this
code, as the same now exist or as the same may be amended from time to
time.
B. “Utility marking” means a mark, made of
colored or metallic paint or similar material, or utilizing any adhesive
material of whatever description, or a flag or similar removable device or item,
used by a public utility or its agent in a public right-of-way to mark the
existing or future location of pipelines, cables, poles, wires or other similar
