15.40.120 Review of preliminary and final plans.

A. The planning and zoning commission, prior to making a recommendation to the city council, shall review all of the documents submitted in connection with a proposed mixed commercial development, as well as the recommendations and suggestions of the city staff and interested citizens in accordance with Chapter 15.52. The commission shall evaluate the proposed development on the basis of the following:
1. Its compatibility with the standards and policies of the city’s master plan;
2. The degree to which the proposed development will be adequately landscaped, buffered and screened in order to prevent adverse impacts on neighboring areas;
3. Its compatibility with neighboring areas;
4. Its furtherance of the public interest.
B. The commission may suggest amendments to the proposed plan. (Ord. 1984-20 § 1 (part): prior code § 5-2-4(Q)(9)(a))
