Animal Control

 

We care about wildlife and work toward cultivating a harmonious environment for animals and citizens alike.  Greenwood Village Police Department Code Enforcement Officers are responsible for all domestic and wildlife animal issues.  Our unit is very pro-active and welcomes the opportunity to discuss animal issues at homeowners meetings, schools, and extracurricular activities.

If you have lost or found a pet please call (303) 773-2525 and file a report with the Police Department. The following agencies should also be contacted to ensure greater success in locating or returning pets.

Colorado is known for its abundance and variety of wildlife.  People come from all over the world to enjoy the diverse wildlife, ranging from the prairie chicken of the plains to the bighorn sheep of the Rockies. To the surprise of some people, wildlife can even be found in and around the urban areas of Colorado's fast-growing Front Range.  The presence of wildlife in the cities is usually a delight to Colorado residents.  The close proximity, however, this wildlife sometimes causes problems.  Many people encounter problems; yet few know what to do about them.  For some problem animals, you may have to contact a pest removal company.  Using common sense and the tips located in the links below may provide some assistance.
