Beginning Glass Sculpture

Saturday, June 29, 2019

This is a 4-hour workshop designed for students who want to learn the art of fused glass. Basic safety, easy beginning glass-cutting techniques, glass layering, and composition will be covered, including basic color theory, transparency and opacity, and design. A fundamental, hands-on working knowledge of the medium and equipment will be addressed. The glass will be fired off site in a glass kiln and then returned to the Curtis Center for students to pick up. More information will be provided. A steel stand for the sculptures can be purchased at an extra cost but, is not mandatory. Instructed by Kay Gross Ages 16 and older
