After School Art Studio - Brilliantly Beautiful Butterflies

Students will be learning about the relief printmaking technique using linocut blocks. We will be doing a print of a butterfly. Students will create a double image of their butterfly carving both a negative and positive block. For this project we will be inking and adding tissue paper to our block to create a very colorful print that we will transfer onto another surface. Students will create a beautiful series of colorful butterflies.

We will be painting, collaging, having fun with mixed media and other fun mediums and techniques to create unique works of art. Join us for one studio class or all of them!
