The Tri-County Health Department (TCHD) Board of Health voted to protect younger children who cannot yet get vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus and preserve in-person learning. The Board of Health voted six to two to direct Dr. John Douglas to put a Public Health Order in place requiring masking for staff and children in childcares and schools serving students 11 and younger.
