Police launch new text messaging solution

Greenwood Village Police Department has launched a new tool to keep the community informed and collect feedback on non-life threatening calls for service. In March, GVPD began sending text message surveys after certain types of interactions with the department.

Text messages are sent shortly after the incident to the phone number recorded as part of the call for service. The message asks the recipient to take a quick survey about their experience and allows them to provide their own comments, feedback or have an opportunity to thank the responding officer.

Please note that not everyone will receive a survey, and those that do not want to participate can simply not respond. It is important that everyone know that these surveys should not be used to report any type of emergency or crime. As always, call 911 for any emergency or to report any criminal activity. For any questions about this program, call GVPD at 303-773-2525.

Help name ournew park at the corner of Yosemite and Caley

Share your park name ideas

The City of Greenwood Village is seeking input from residents to help name a new park located at the northeast corner of Yosemite Street and Caley Avenue.

Opened in October 2023 as part of the final phase of the Huntington Caley Master Plan, park amenities include a natural playground, sculpted landscape berms, an informal play lawn, shelters with swinging benches, an ADA accessible parking area, braided gardens, a park overlook area accessible by both trails, and a stair incline.

Visit Greenwood Village Voices to submit an idea, or like and comment on your favorite ideas from other residents. Suggestions will be accepted through Tuesday, April 30. Thank you for your ideas and input!
