75th anniversary commemorative police badge

New Commemorative Badge

In celebration of The City of Greenwood Village’s 75th anniversary, Greenwood Village Police Department has commissioned a special commemorative badge. Beginning this month and throughout 2025, you will see this badge worn by all Greenwood Village Police Officers.

The new design incorporates the United States and Colorado flags interwoven with important structural and natural features that symbolize Greenwood Village’s enduring legacy, including a bridge over the Highline Canal and the historic former schoolhouse that now serves as Curtis Center for the Arts. The architecture stands in front of a backdrop of native pine trees with a Rocky Mountain view. Perched on top of the badge is a bald eagle, reflecting a long tradition of law enforcement badges to include representation of federal, state and municipal levels of government.
