Time Capsule Opening

The Greenwood Village City Council will open a time capsule at the Monday, June 2, Council Meeting, held at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The capsule, which is currently on display in the City Hall lobby, was sealed May 31, 1997, with engraved instructions to be opened in 2025 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the incorporation of Greenwood Village. We encourage residents to join us to discover what’s inside!

Report a Concern

Greenwood Village has launched a new online tool to provide an easy way to report things like potholes, graffiti, traffic signal malfunctions, broken or damaged signs, park or playground issues and code violations. Learn more about our online reporting tool.

Understanding the Building Permitting and Inspection Division

Greenwood Village’s Building Inspection and Permitting Process is designed to ensure that all construction projects adhere to safety standards, protecting the well-being of everyone in the area. As part of the Community Development Department, the Building Permitting and Inspection Division aims to maintain high-quality business relationships with designers, builders, owners, and tenants while meeting the City’s building construction safety expectations. Police

Fiddler's Green Noise Complaint Line 

As a reminder to residents, Greenwood Village Police Department maintains a dedicated phone number to respond to noise complaints related to Fiddler’s Green. To file a noise complaint, call 303-486-8275. The Police Department responds to and investigates all concerns reported via this line. 

Drug Take Back Day 

Police collected 622 pounds of unneeded medications on April 26, filling 23 extra-large trash bags with prescription and over-the-counter medications that were safely disposed of in partnership with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s biannual National Drug Take Back Day.

Celebrating 36 Years as a Tree City USA

Greenwood Village is celebrating 36 years of achieving recognition as a Tree City USA. During the April 7 City Council Meeting, Mary Danser, Colorado State Forest Service’s Urban and Community Forestry Program Specialist, presented the City with a sign and special recognition of the City’s years of dedicated efforts to protect our trees and woodlands.

Pavement Management Program

In 2025, 9.25 lane miles of the total 224 network lane miles in Greenwood Village will be resurfaced through preservation and rehabilitation efforts. The map below indicates all roads included in this year’s program.

Work on the 2025 Pavement Management Program began in April and will proceed through October. Notices will be mailed to adjacent property owners and homeowner’s associations in residential areas and onsite information signs will be placed on non-residential streets to provide specific scheduling and traffic control information. Centennial Airport Update

The Centennial Airport Community Noise Roundtable (CACNR) has released its Q4 2024 report, showing encouraging progress in reducing aircraft noise for residents living north and west of the airport. The full report can be viewed on the airport’s website.

The CACNR Study Group continues to meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m., and members of the public are welcome to attend in person or virtually. 

Community members are encouraged to share noise concerns via the airport’s website noise complaint form or call the noise hotline at 303-790-4709. 

Centennial Airport Noise Office also maintains a noise update email list, which offers periodic updates regarding airport operational factors that may influence noise over areas surrounding the airport. Learn more at the CACNR website.

Marjorie Perry Nature Preserve Well System Public Input Meeting

May 21, 6 p.m. at Greenwood Village Maintenance Facility

Join us for a public input meeting to present the proposed design for the Marjorie Perry Nature Preserve well house, water distribution system and irrigation system along the High Line Canal. For more information, contact Suzanne Moore, Parks, Trails and Recreation Director.

CSU Extension Arapahoe County Master Gardeners Classes

Join Arapahoe County Master Gardeners at Silo Park for a series of informative classes this summer at Silo Park. 

The Vegetable Diva Talks Tomatoes Tuesday, June 3, at 10 a.m. Head to the vegetable garden for an informative class about growing tomatoes. This talk will cover tomato basics, like how and when to plant and how to maintain and harvest them. The class will also cover all the common pests and diseases of tomatoes and proper control measures.

What’s Bugging Your Garden? Tuesday, June 24, at 10 a.m. Learn more about the three most destructive garden pests in our area: grasshoppers, Japanese beetles and the Emerald Ash Borer. This class will cover what you can do to combat these garden pests in your own yard.
