Back to School: Slow Down in School Zones and Watch for Buses

Greenwood Village Police would like to remind drivers to pay close attention to posted speeds near school zones and to drive safely around school buses. Remember to always use extreme care around buses and school zones because children's behavior can be unpredictable.

Police will be conducting increased traffic education and enforcement around schools and in school zones at the beginning of the school year. Thanks for your help keeping our students and streets safe and we wish you a happy 2025-26 school year!

Trail Speed Limit Enforcement

In response to recent complaints about electric bikes and other motorized vehicles speeding on the Village Greens Mountain Bike Course and near Tommy Davis Park, police are increasing patrols in these areas and throughout Greenwood Village parks and trails.

The speed limit on all trails and paths within Greenwood Village is 15 miles per hour. Those who do not comply with this speed limit may be issued a warning or citation, maintaining our commitment to protecting the safety of all park and trail users. As a reminder, the Village Greens Mountain Bike Course is for mountain bikes only. Motorized vehicles are not permitted.

The speed limit on all trails, paths and sidewalks is 15 mph. Please be courteous when riding your bicycle or e-bike to help keep all trail users safe.
