Responsibilities
The Board of Adjustments and Appeals (BOAA) consists of eight regular members, two from each of the city's voting districts, who are appointed to serve up to four consecutive two-year terms. BOAA is a quasi-judicial appellate board. The board's duties are to hear and decide:
- Requests for variances from the terms of the Zoning Ordinances or Building Code, and
- Appeals where it is perceived there was an error in any order, requirement, or decision made by an administrative official or agency based on, or made in the enforcement of, the Village's Zoning Ordinances and Building Code.
